Sign-in In-Person, 5-10 mins. before class!

Arrive 5-10 minutes before class time,

write your name on the sheet,

put down your mat,

breathe.

That's it.

Class sizes are 10 students max (except Yin classes which are 12-14).

We will flip the sign on the door if the class is full.

All classes on the schedule are donation based unless otherwise specified

Donation Based Classes

Starting January 1, 2018, all weekly yoga classes became donation based.

$5 minimum suggested.

Exceptions will have a price associated.

Why?

Yoga should be physically and financially accessible to all who want to attend. Group classes, in particular, are so important for humans, which are social animals. When I first started teaching (this is Burg writing), I focused on private in-home lessons for the convenience to students but also for students who might be uncomfortable in group classes. However, over the years, I backed off of this. Sure, if someone wants an in-home private lesson, I'll consider it, but the practice of yoga is more than a physical workout. Yoga is a practice in awareness and mindfulness. It's about connection and energy. My studio is small enough that most students will feel comfortable with the others in the space and will benefit from shared experience and energy. Communicate and connect as much or as little as you want.

Also, my vision for the business was being hindered by the payment structure. I felt obligated to pack in as many classes as possible to make the month pass worthwhile. That's tiring and impossible to cover if I wanted a break. I felt myself getting exhausted and that had a negative impact on my teaching. Plus, I wasn't practicing what I was teaching! You can't pour water from an empty pitcher.

*Retreats, workshops, private sessions, and classes taught by other teachers may not be donation based.

  • Credit Card: Square reader available for donations and private lessons.
